2. Rocky has been so well-behaved that Rich has had to resort to disciplining the fish. He put the orange guy in time-out. (We stopped naming our fish since we realized that every time we named one, it immediately died). We are down to our last 2 unnamed fish. I hope I haven't just cursed this one by calling it "orange guy." I'll let you know.
3. Jack rolled over! This is a big landmark for the little guy. We knew it would happen soon as he has had Rocky as a very persistent little coach. Here he is in action:
4. I continue to teach Rocky his preschool lessons. I'm always impressed with his desire to learn the ABCs, numbers, etc but retention is not his forte. By the next day, he seems to have forgotten everything. I find myself teaching him the same things over and over. Any advice? Is this normal for 3 year olds or does mine have a short term memory problem? Maybe he is mocking me. I'm starting to wonder what the point is. At least it is something we do together that he enjoys.

Yeah for a happy baby!
Don't worry, Savy doesn't retain anything right now either, she just enjoys one on one time with me and feeling special. Keep up the good work!
I love these pictures Jodi. Jack has really changed! What a cutie - not that that is how he changed!
Go baby Jack! What a gorgeous smile he has! Don't get discouraged with the preschool thing... I think the point of preschool is to get them used to the idea of being taught and sitting still long enough to listen, not actually remembering yet. One day he'll surprise you and say something super intelligent that you didn't realize he retained! Of course, he probably already does that with other things anyway. ;-)
i, too, had the desire to be a tractor when i grew up. alas, it was too lofty a goal for me. i wish jack all the luck.
