Bribery is Best

I've decided I have better things to do than housework, so Rich and I decided to make Rocky do it instead. We enlisted the help of a new parenting tactic... bribery. Ever since receiving the movie Toy Story for his birthday, Rocky has been begging us for a Buzz Lightyear toy. So in order to make us both happy, we made a sticker chart. Rocky then picked up his toys, dusted, put away laundry and did dishes to earn his way to the coveted toy. By the end of the week, Rocky had his Buzz, and I had a clean house. Victory was sweet. This week, no other toy has been worth it to him. Welcome to my world Rocky.

Tony Takes the Plunge

Last Saturday, our good friend and Kayla's boyfriend, Tony got baptized. We've posted some pics of the event for the friends and family that know him. And if you don't know him, then you should. He's a cool guy. We're way excited for him and his desire to follow this path. We hope that it brings him much happiness. It already brought him delicious rice krispy treats, which were served at the end of the baptism. Tony was well-prepared and made it an emotional, memorable event for all.



Powerful talks were given by Lacie and Rich, and a beautiful musical number was sang by Kayla and Allyson. I accompanied them on the piano. For those that didn't have the opportunity to hear Kayla and Aly's incredible voices, we recorded the song again later. Of course, everyone else wanted to be part of it too, and we all know that reverence isn't Jared and Rich's forte. So enjoy the song and imagine it in a baptismal setting. As a side note, no kittens were harmed in the making of this video...
